Eco Patch began with a question: what do children need now to grow confidently into what comes next?
Our approach brings together trusted relationships, purposeful play, nature and movement. Every part has a role in helping children feel understood, build confidence and gradually become more capable.
We look for growth in everyday moments: asking for help, joining a game, expressing a feeling or trying something that once felt difficult.
Our story
Eco Patch Early Learning was created from a belief that early learning should feel meaningful, connected, and grounded in real life experiences.
We wanted to create places where children could slow down, explore their environment, care for living things, and develop an understanding of the world around them. By weaving sustainability, nature, and community into everyday learning, Eco Patch Early Learning offers children opportunities to grow with intention.
Children learn best when they are active participants in their environment.
At Eco Patch Early Learning, learning happens in the garden, through caring for animals, preparing food, working alongside peers, and engaging in play that reflects children’s interests. Educators observe, listen, and respond to children’s ideas, creating experiences that extend learning while respecting each child’s pace and strengths.

Nature and sustainability
Sustainability is embedded in daily practice at Eco Patch Early Learning.
Children learn about plant life cycles, food systems, animal care, and environmental responsibility through hands on experiences. Everyday routines encourage thoughtful choices and an appreciation for caring for the environment and community.
Partnerships with families
We believe strong relationships with families are essential.
Open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect guide our partnerships. We value family knowledge, culture, and involvement and work together to support each child’s learning and wellbeing.
